Built for keto, not calories

Net carbs, counted for you.

Snap a photo of your meal. Keto Cal breaks it into ingredients, subtracts fiber and sugar alcohols, and tells you what you have left today.

Keto has one number that matters

Everything in the app is built around net carbs β€” total carbs minus fiber minus sugar alcohols β€” instead of bolting it onto a calorie counter.

Snap a photo

The AI breaks your plate into ingredients, estimates portions, and reports total carbs, fiber and sugar alcohols separately β€” so you can see how the net number was reached and fix any line in two taps.

Hidden carbs, flagged

Sauces, glazes, breading and dressings get called out with an estimate before you eat them: β€œBBQ sauce β‰ˆ 9g”, β€œBreading β‰ˆ 12g”.

A Keto Grade on every barcode

Scan a package and get an A-to-F grade per serving. Maltitol and dextrose cost a grade. The grocery store turns into a game you can win.

One ring, one number

Your home screen is net carbs remaining today. Teal while you're in range, amber as you approach your line, red if you cross it. Protein, fat and calories sit underneath.

Ketosis estimate

Three days under your line and the app marks you likely in ketosis. Go over twice your line and it says you may have exited. Always an estimate from your log β€” never a medical claim.

β€œWhat can I still eat?”

With 8g left, one tap shows foods that actually fit, from a curated list of keto foods with net carbs per serving. Plus one-tap staples: eggs, avocado, bacon, cheese.

From install to your first meal in a minute

Set your line

A short quiz sets your daily net-carb budget β€” strict 20g, standard 25g, relaxed 50g or custom β€” plus protein and fat targets and a projected date for your goal weight.

Log in seconds

Photo, barcode, a sentence of text, a saved meal, or a quick-add staple. Everything stays editable, and nothing takes more than two taps to correct.

Watch the ring

Your remaining net carbs update instantly, your streak counts the days you stayed in range, and the ketosis estimate tells you where you stand.

How the Keto Grade works

Per serving, on every product you scan.

A2g net or less, no added sugar
BLow net carbs, clean label
CFits, but spend it deliberately
DMost of your day in one serving
F15g+, or sugar in the first three ingredients

Barcode nutrition comes from Open Food Facts, a free public database. Where a product is missing or wrong there, you can correct the numbers before saving.

Questions

What are net carbs, exactly?

Total carbohydrates minus dietary fiber minus sugar alcohols. Keto Cal shows all three numbers so you can always see the arithmetic, and there's a setting to count only half of sugar alcohols if that's how you prefer to track.

How accurate is the photo scan?

It's an estimate. The AI is good at identifying foods and reasonable at portions, but it cannot weigh your plate or read a recipe. Every line it produces is editable, and for anything where precision matters β€” packaged food especially β€” scan the barcode or check the label.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no sign-up and no sign-in. Your diary, weights, plan and settings live on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes them.

Are my meal photos stored anywhere?

No. A photo is sent to our analysis server, used to estimate the nutrition, and discarded. It isn't kept, isn't attached to an identity, and isn't used to train anything. Details are in the privacy policy.

Does it work with Apple Health?

Yes, if you turn it on. Keto Cal writes the nutrition you log to Health and reads your body weight back so your progress chart stays current. You can revoke either permission in the Health app at any time.

Is the ketosis estimate a measurement?

No. It's inferred from what you log β€” three days under your net-carb line suggests you're likely in ketosis. It doesn't measure ketones, and it isn't medical advice. Only a blood, breath or urine test measures ketosis.

How do I cancel?

On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and cancel Keto Cal there. Cancel at least 24 hours before your trial ends to avoid being charged.
